Businesses in Ghana and their Respect for Customers - An encounter with Melcom Ghana

Happy New month to you. Trust that January was good to you and your families. The month of Love surely has lots of Love for you.
So we complain as Ghanaians bitterly that there are no jobs.
Well, this may be relative as you will agree or not.
Questions I have in mind after some thoughts is how well do we handle these Jobs when we get them.
Melcom Madina Branch located close to the market is scheduled to open shop to customers at 11 am on Sundays. As at 11:15 am of 2nd February 2018, the shop was not opened and customers waited outside. Customers would open the door to the shop and Attendants will rudely tell them 'We have not opened'. Customers were either left with the choice to leave or wait. No information was given by staffs available. One customer frustrated badged in and questioned them only to be told 'the cashier was not at post' and 'there was no manager'.As at that time, two employees were leisurely walking to report to work when customers were waiting.
The shop was finally opened at 11:21 am with no apologies given to customers. Some staffs were laughing when customers questioned why they were delayed outside without any notice.
Other customers interviewed expressed their displeasure on some attitudes by Attendants in the shop whenever they visit.
This is how some Ghanaians treat jobs they are employed to do.
Doing this, we are not being fair to our employers, country and ourselves. If we expect employers to treat us better, we must see to our part of the contracts we sign as employees.
Management of Melcom Ghana should quickly take this up and ensure the shop serves it's purpose.
