ONLINE REGISTRATION PORTAL FOR BUSINESSES
So we were informed it was going to make life a lot easier
for us. No more hustling, no middle men, no bribes and we would actually get
the real deal. That sounded so awesome and we were looking forward to it.
So I tried the first time it came up in April 2015 and it did not work for me. I
figured it might have been on pilot so I could try later and it would work for
me too. After a long wait I decided to try it again after Joy FM’s news item on
the subject again in October 2017.
It looked like nothing really had changed on their website
for the past year or so. Some tabs were not working and most especially the “company
registration” bit was not working either. I spent a long time trying to figure
out and soon it was getting frustrating. I know in instances like this your
next thought and place of refuge would be customer support but guess what? They
do not exist here.
That reminded me that the first time I tried to go through a
registration (2015) I sent a mail to the support team but till date I never had a response
from them. The customer service tab was not working, phone number was not and
no one to contact for assistance. I tried the 'contact us' button but I never got
to finish the captcha codes to send the message because the process was
unending. I had no other choice than to use the email address provided again hoping for some improvement. So I sent the mail and it’s been two weeks but no response from anyone, not even the automated receipt mail.
Honestly I do not see where the helping bit comes in with
all that I have gone through. Well, it may be true that a number of people have
gone through the process successfully. That is great news, what of the others
who are still trying hard to get through but cannot and they are filled with
frustration? If it works for all like it should, I think it is a great idea so let’s
get working on it.
I would suggest some form of public education by the
registrar general’s office to take people through the various processes and
requirement to make things easier. Being a state institution why not have the nation’s
TV and radio stations as medium to help? I believe there are some private ones that would want to
support as well.
The person(s) in charge of their website must be up and
doing to get things together on the website. It is quite a shame. Who watches
the watchman?
We all want to be able to go through the company registration process in the comfort of our homes, offices and anywhere aside queuing in the Registrar General's office without any hustles so SOMEONE please HELP!!!

That's the state of almost every state owned institution. Why would they allow this to work when they know their bribes will be cut off?
ReplyDeleteTrue talk Ezekiel.
DeleteBut I say it's time we rise above all that. Let's think beyond Ghana for us today and rather for generations to come. The change starts with you and I especially everyone out there.
